Castle in the Sky is my favorite Ghibli movie, it's a beautiful and fun film! I remember I'd always leave the credits running til the end because I thought the song sounded so mystical and pretty as you watch the tree drift further from the earth.

robin is my favorite character in all of one piece. she means a lot to me and i relate to her in a ton of ways. i love her so much that i made “robin” my middle name when transitioning. i wish that they would do more with her and i was so sad when oda started sexualizing her and every other woman in one piece. also, i agree with ur take on sanji. sanji was SO AWESOME in pretimeskip. but as soon as postwar, he sucked, but whole cake was a pretty alright redemption for him and was necessary.

I think a lot of One Piece fans follow the same pattern, Arlong Park is like "this is how you know you're in it for the long haul", Alabasta is "this is emblematic of what One Piece is all about", Water 7 / Enies Lobby is "this is where the universe really expands beyond what we couldve imagined", and Impel Down / Marineford is "this is when One Piece becomes a bona fide literary epic" Like everyone's getting at, there are no real bad arcs, just bad sections of arcs - anime especially. I also dropped it after catching up during Dressrosa, it's the only time I've felt the slog genuinely wasn't worth it. I remember thinking Kuro's fight was long, amd Skypeia did drag quite a bit at the start, but I really don't remember having any difficulty pushing through. I rewatched the show very recently with my sister, who watched it for the first time, and I had a much easier time getting through the drawn out parts somehow. It was actually quite refreshing having some slower paced, character driven stuff. But Dressrosa was still the worst, even with Sabo and Kyros and Barto who I love. Wano was great, a good long arc that didn't feel too drawn out. Not perfect of course but vast improvement to Dressrosa. I genuinely think so much of people singling out Skypeia as a bad example of pacing is really just stigma lol, like a meme basically. It is not that bad, it was just the first big "skip it" arc and that's stuck around despite everyone knowing it's not that bad.

Amazon lily has a top 3 luffy character moment for me when boa offers to help luffy leave or save the stone women, and luffy NO HESITATION says thank you so much for saving them! There's plenty of arcs with 0 moments that hit that hard. It's a small arc, but it's got some gold in there.

So first, I'm really digging the retro-style anime character art. But, it's really disappointing to see closely all these 2D life/farming sim games copy Stardew Valley. I guess there nothing wrong with that if you dig stardew, but I'd love for some of these games to dig a little deeper into RPG and Survival mechanics.
